Megan Beaman-Jacinto
Founding / Managing Attorney
Megan Beaman Jacinto is a civil rights trial attorney and community organizer, whose litigation and advocacy in and out of the courtroom focus on rights of workers and immigrants. Megan has deep experience with rural communities and farmworker clients in particular, and works in close partnership with nonprofit partners and community leaders in the Coachella Valley and Inland Communities Region. She is recognized widely for her committed, sensitive, and fearless legal and community representation, as well as her leadership and innovation in local, regional, and statewide policy, all for the protection and improvement of communities.
In 2018, Megan was elected to the Coachella City Council. As councilmember from 2018 to 2022, Megan championed numerous successful initiatives for residents, some of which were unprecedented—such as farmworker hazard pay, prohibitions on private detention facilities and no-cause housing evictions, a city racial equity task force, and a reconsideration of public safety investments.
Megan herself comes from a rural working-class family and learned through life experience about the challenges facing workers, families, and communities who are regularly excluded from systems of education, justice, and government. Her personal and professional experience combines to provide depth of perspective and strategy for her clients and community.
Megan completed her Juris Doctorate degree at University of Wisconsin Law School, and her Bachelors of Arts in Sociology and Africana (African American) Studies at Grinnell College. She also holds a certificate in Executive Women in Leadership from Cornell University.

Resort Workers v. Large Corporate Employer*
Achieved $5 million settlement in representation of California banquet workers, servers, and other resort hospitality workers who experienced wage theft by their large corporate employer.
Construction Workers v. Large Corporate Employer*
Achieved $2 million settlement for Southern California construction workers who were systematically unpaid by their large corporate employer.
Longtime Employees v. Corporate Employer*
Achieved $1 million settlement, collectively, for two longtime employees who were terminated after they stood up for their rights in the workplace.
Agricultural and Landscaping Worker Cases
Over $3 million recovered in numerous cases for individual farmworkers and landscaping employees who have suffered discrimination and been terminated after becoming injured and disabled due to the physical demands of their job.
